How to Know?

How to Know What Surface is my Bath Tub, Shower or Other to be Repaired?

  • Acrylic or Plastic:
When the surface color is sanded with 400 or 300 grit sand paper the residue will be odorless. Sand the color at or over the damaged area to be repaired.

  • Gelcoat:
When the surface color is sanded with 400 or 300 grit sand paper the residue left on the sand paper will have a sweet fiberglass odor.

  • Brand Label:
Look for brand label or stamped serial number on the unit. Look at the front of the bath tub on the front skirt near the floor.

  • Serial Number:
If you have the brand and serial number, call the manufacturer with that information. Ask if the unit is Acrylic, Gelcoat or other.
